Managers

  One team

a well-coordinated team of highly qualified engineers from various fields who work together on an Interdisciplinary level to design TOP projects.

This is who we are:

Goal-oriented, professional, curious and innovative. That's us - the Holdfort team.

We bring together architects, civil engineers, programmers and engineers from the fields of structural engineering mechanical engineering, automation and planning. We complement each other in order to provide the best possible services as a whole.

With over 30 highly qualified employees, we are able to put together an optimal team for every project.

We use our drive and commitment to energize, engage and inspire others.  With our spirit, we take on challenges, push boundaries and experiment to create a better and sustainable future.

Formerly known as PMJ Structural Engineering, we have now been active on the German market for more than 20 years.

Other values:
We believe in people
We are a team
What we do, we do well
Great is simply not good enough
Leadership through example.
Optimize towards ideals
We take responsibility
Committed with heart and mind
Using collective genius effectively
Success through innovation

For many years, we have not only been working together on a wide variety of projects, but also supporting each other to strengthen our community with training courses and integration activities. That's why we identify with our brand and feel responsible to push ourselves and HOLDFORT to new heights.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a team of experienced engineers, mainly in civil engineering but also in mechanical engineering and automation. We create the construction planning from concept to statics to workshop plans. We also design modern industrial plants, especially for the automotive and energy sectors. We take on the project management for investors. Should the as-built documentation be missing for a conversion project, we use laser scanning to create a 3D design as well as the construction drawings. We think and work progressively and with us you build for the future.

HOW DO WE WORK?

We meet the specific requirements of our customers, who come from all over Europe, with openness and flexibility. We carry out the tasks entrusted to us precisely and on time. Thanks to the use of the latest 3D BIM technologies, we are able to offer high-quality project solutions and adapt them to changing parameters at any time. As an experienced project manager, we exercise reliable control over budget compliance and eliminate potential risks in a timely manner. Your vision of a revolutionized industry is a welcome motivation for us, a challenge that we are happy to take on.

Why holdfort?

We don't think about how much quality costs and how it can be balanced with deadlines and the profitability of projects, because we have found a way to combine these three seemingly contradictory goals.

At HOLDFORT, we have managed to combine the pursuit of low costs with adherence to deadlines and quality

Planning with 3D BIM

Planning with the help of 3D BIM, which makes it easy to prevent collisions and errors resulting from inconsistencies in the documentation.

Contact with the customer

Close cooperation between structural engineers and customers is essential to precisely meet expectations

Exchange of information

Constant contact with the customer and communication in an understandable language in order to better comprehend the customer's needs and underlying conditions.

Automation

the automation of repetitive tasks using proprietary software and the elimination of monotonous tasks that are particularly error-prone due to fatigue.

Standardization

Standardization of design processes and optimization of work and thus greater predictability of results and simpler quality control.

Development

Continuous improvement of qualifications, development of own tools and standards.

Involvement

Involvement of team members and team quality control at every stage of the project.

Costs, quality or adherence to deadlines?

Many design offices claim to care about quality and optimize their projects. Some of them are ISO 9001 certified and some even apply selected quality control procedures. Unfortunately, the projects are often not optimal and most of the procedures are not applied, and this is by no means due to the bad will of the designers, but to time pressure and the need to reduce costs due to the surrounding competition and short project deadlines.

Effective quality on time

At HOLDFORT, we don't ask ourselves how much quality costs and how it can be balanced with project deadlines and profitability, because we have found a way to unify these three seemingly contradictory goals.

In our experience, most of the cardinal design errors and major project delays have their roots in the misunderstanding of customer needs and the inadequate (not always too low) skill level of the designers or the insufficient flow of information within the design team, which ultimately leads us to the well-known conclusion that the weakest link in the quality chain is the human element. For this reason, we attach great emphasis to good relations with the customer, collecting in a structured way all the information necessary to better understand their expectations and sharing this information efficiently within the project team so that everyone knows where to find the necessary information at all times. We standardize all project processes and implement procedures to optimize work performance and achieve more predictable work results that are easier to verify afterwards. We develop our own software to automate labor-intensive design processes, not only increasing efficiency but also eliminating many sources of error. The entire design process takes place in 3D space so that we can avoid collisions and easily take care of the consistency of the project once changes have been introduced. Our designers participate in the management process (turquoise organization) and are committed to teamwork and quality at every stage of the project. Their qualifications and working standards are constantly improved through continuous development programs.
